The plot takes unexpected turns and Ivy finds herself facing some of her worst fears. But she’ll figure out what to do soon, since she’s a badass, brave, strong, and amazing female character. She doesn’t want to hurt him in any way, and considering the whole reason why he’s there is to kill the halfling, things are a little tense. After finding out that she’s the halfling, Ivy struggles with her identity, and with Ren. Her writing style is captivating, hilarious, hot as all hell mostly a light and funny read, but at the same time there are those emotional sides to her characters that will completely shatter your heart. I loved all of her books, and Torn brings together everything that I love the most about them. Thinking of never seeing him again made me want to curl into a ball, and that would be incredibly stupid, because I’m pretty sure, with my busted ribs, it would hurt like hell. God, I loved him more than I loved pralines and bidgnets, and that was hardcore, because my love for sugary, sweet things rivaled the most epic love stories known to man. Oh god! Can I have the next book right now, pretty please? I was in a reading slump, and this one totally took me out of it! JLA is always a safe bet.
